Sustainable Regenerative Farming
Welcome to Hacienda Lago del Cidra
Regenerative farm and barefoot luxury in the mountains of Puerto Rico.
Nestled along the picturesque shores of Lake Cidra, Hacienda Lago del Cidra is at the forefront of regenerative farming in Puerto Rico.
Our 8-acre farm uses advanced topographical and agricultural techniques, cultivating a wide variety of tropical and subtropical fruits through a blend of traditional agroforestry and modern syntropic agriculture. Our methods help prevent soil erosion, reintroduce nitrogen back into the soil, and improve water retention—fostering a diverse ecosystem that’s more resilient to the challenges of climate change.
Through our demonstration garden and commercial nursery, we aim to educate, equip, and inspire fellow practitioners, farmers, and horticulturists to adopt more resilient regenerative practices.

Fruits of Our Labor
A diverse array of tropical and subtropical fruits.
At Hacienda Lago del Cidra, we take pride in cultivating a rich variety of tropical and subtropical fruits. Our sustainable farming practices and innovative techniques ensure that each plant thrives in harmony with the environment, producing abundant and reliable harvests.
Rambutan
Rambutan trees are a cornerstone of our farm, known for their distinctive, hairy red fruits. These trees have extensive root systems that prevent soil erosion and improve water retention, making them ideal for our steep topography. The juicy, sweet flesh of the Rambutan is a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Longan (Dragon Eye)
Longan, also known as Dragon Eye, is closely related to lychee and thrives in our tropical climate. The translucent fruit is encased in a thin, brown shell and has a sweet, aromatic flavor. Longan trees are well-suited to our agroforestry system, contributing to the biodiversity and health of our orchards.
